Career Goals: PPICU (though who knows! ☺ )
Hobbies: Cooking, reading, exploring new neighborhoods
Why you chose Inova and program pluses: Why you chose Inova and program pluses: I chose Inova completely due to the people and the atmosphere that I found during my interview day. Everyone was friendly, very open, and were being themselves, which I really liked.

Alexandru Firan, MD Name: Alexandru Firan, MD
Medical School: Georgetown University School of Medicine
Home: Dallas, TX
Career Goals: Undecided, likely subspecialty
Hobbies: Photography, cooking (and eating), hockey
Why you chose Inova and program pluses: It's really the best of both worlds: the warmth and personal attention from the faculty and attendings that you expect from a community program with the complexity and volume of a major pediatric center.

Liberty Strange, MD Name: Liberty Strange, MD
Medical School: East Tennessee State University Quillen College of Medicine
Home: Cleveland, TN
Career Goals: Currently general outpatient pediatrics but potentially interested in specializing in hospitalist medicine
Hobbies: Yoga, Running, Hiking, Baking
Why you chose Inova and program pluses: I enjoyed getting to know the residents and faculty and could definitely see myself working with them for the next three years.I loved the community aspect of the program and appreciated that it has exposure to unusual cases in addition to a high volume of "bread and butter" pediatrics. The location of the program is a plus and allows me to enjoy some city life in DC and be in close proximity to national and state parks.
