Dr. Sarah Calardo Name: Sarah J. Calardo, DO
Medical School: Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine
Home: Philadelphia, PA
Career Goals: Pediatric Hospital Medicine
Hobbies: Spending time with family and friends, hiking and camping, working out (especially with friends), and trying new restaurants.
Why you chose Inova and program pluses: I went to college in DC, fell in love with the city, and then met my husband down here, so we are very excited to be back in the surrounding area! I absolutely love that Inova Children's is connected to the women's hospital so that I'll have the opportunity to attend lots of deliveries during my NICU months. I also love the diversity of Inova's patient population, with its multitude of languages, cultures, and patient stories, and the combination of general and complex pediatric cases! Finally, the teaching I've received here so far is awesome - the senior residents and attending doctors clearly care and it's an incredibly supportive learning environment.

Dr. Nadia Chaudhry-Waterman Name: Nadia Chaudhry-Waterman, DO

Why you chose Inova and program pluses: I chose this program because of the great teachers! When I rotated here as a fourth year student, I was not only impressed with the attending physician’s dedication to teaching, but also the dedication of the senior residents to helping students. I loved the diversity within the program and within the patient population that the hospital serves. Not to mention, after growing up in Northern Virginia it was nice to return home and be close to my family once again.
