Parent Advisory Council

Inova Children’s Heart Center’s Cardiac Parent Advisory Council leverages the unique insight of family members to shape patient education, program development, and quality and safety initiatives. Formed in 2018, the council includes parents who have had a recent experience at Inova Children’s Heart Center, as well as physicians, nurses, certified child life specialists and hospital leaders. Now 20 parent members strong (and growing), the council offers knowledge and perspectives that strengthen the cardiac program.
