Pediatric Services at Inova Loudoun Hospital
Inova Loudoun Hospital is kid-friendly. We care for our smallest patients in our Level IIIA neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), our dedicated pediatric emergency department and our pediatric inpatient unit. Our experienced pediatric staff is specially trained to understand the unique needs of your infant and child. We use smaller equipment for smaller bodies. Inova Loudoun Hospital offers your child and family:
- A dedicated pediatric emergency room, open 24 hours a day, seven days a week and staffed by pediatric hospitalists
- Experienced, caring pediatricians, including staff certified in pediatric care who understand the unique needs of children
- Emergency nurses who are pediatric advanced life support certified and pediatric emergency nursing that are pediatric certified

A family-centered approach to care
The new west wing of Inova Loudoun Hospital houses our expanded pediatrics unit, building on our family-centered approach to care. The new unit has 14 private “ouch free," kid-friendly rooms that contain flat screen TVs and Sony PlayStation IIIs, separate exam rooms with dinosaur and turtle shaped tables and centralized monitoring so our littlest ones are always visible to the nurses’ station.
Families will enjoy the comfortable lounge area, parent’s sleep room and an activities room. We designed these rooms with our family centered philosophy in mind so they are large enough to accommodate visits from the whole family. Parents will appreciate a work area with full-size bed, flat screen TV and unparalleled pediatric security.
